Bandit gets $503 at Marion station A lone bandit wearing a ski mask and wielding a blue steel .38 caliber revolver took $503 from a Marion service station about 7 a.m. Saturday, according to Marion Police. The armed robber took $22 from attendant David Tidey and $481 from inside the station, according to Roy Stanley, manager of Owens Service Station of 309 E.

De Young St. The robber fled west on new Illinois 13 in a car believed KENNETH CURRY Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday in Zeigler for Kenneth Curry of Sumpter, S.C., formerly of Zeigler. Mr. Curry, 44, died at 9 a.m., Friday, July 16, 1976, in Sumpter after a long illness. He was born March 10, 1932 at Plumfield to Patrick and Ella Bush Curry.

He was married to the former Patricia Saba. Mr. Curry was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He had been employed by the Sunbeam Corp. in Smpter.

He was a member of the Catholic Church here. He is survived by his wife; brothers, Claude of Carterville and Thomas of Roselle; sisters, Dawson of Zeigler, Reba Magheriao of Royalton and Melba: Lee McCauley of Villa Park. A funeral mass was held in Sumpter Saturday morning. The body has been returned to Zeigler, where it. will lie in state at the Vantrease Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. Services will be at the funeral home and burial will be in the Dennning Cemetery at Zeigler. ELLIS LAWRENCE Funeral services will be Monday for Ellis Lawrence, 67, of 911 N. 23rd Murphysboro.

Mr. Lawrence was stricken at home Saturday, July 17, 1976, and was pronounced dead St. Joseph Memorial in Murphysboro. He had been in ill health. He was born May 7, 1909 at Sikeston, Mo.

She survives. Mr. Lawrence lived most of his life in Murphysboro and was a retired shoe cutter for the Brown Shoe Co. there. He also is survived by two brothers, Earl of Murphysboro and Arthur of Florissant, four sisters, Vada Blazer of St.

Louis, Ruby Riggin of Granite City, Gene Stroud of Greenville and Peggy Poirot of Harrisburg. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. at the Denny and Pettett Funeral Home Murphysboro. Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton.

He was a retired reporter for The Cairo Evening Citizen. He was a member of the Cairo Kiwanis, the First Christian Church in Cairo; a former board member of the Cairo Public Library for 29 years and was named member emeritus by the board of directors, a veteran of World War I and served in the English Army and the Canadian Calvary. Survivors include his wife, Louise, of Carbondale; a daughter, Mrs. Jane Dycus, of Carbondale; sisters, Callie Hazzard, of Brookins, South Dakota, Marie Britt, of Almstead, Lora Taake, of Ullin; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cairo Public Library or the First Christian Church of Cairo in Mr. Curry's name. NELLIE DUNCAN Nellie B. Duncan, 82, of 118 Laurel Du Quoin, died Saturday, July 17, 1976, at her home. Mrs.

Duncan was born in Williamson County on Jan. 25, 1894, to Louis and Margarite Snyder Dawson. She married Abner Duncan in Herrin on Sept. 17, 1913. Her husband and brother founded the Dawson-Duncan Furniture store in Du Quoin in 1922.

It is now known Duncan-Fry Furniture Store. Mrs. Duncan worked there several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin. Survivors include her husband, Abner; daughters, Tommie Huie, of Sesser, Maurine Theobald and Dorothy Britton, both of Du Quoin; a son, Daw.

Mrs. Range died at 4:35 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 1976, at Pekin Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the order of Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodges in Manito and a member of the Manito Southern Baptist Mission. She was born March 1, 1914, in Eldorado, to Frank J.

and Lella Lovelace Burris. She married Forest Range, in Farmington, on Dec. 21, 1963. He died in 1974. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs.

EDITH MAE WORTHEN Edith Mae Worthen, 71, of 4222 Rose Lane, Mt. Vernon, died at 10:17 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 1976, in Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt.

Vernon. She was born June 3, 1905 in Herrin and Maggie Foncree Gimmerson. She was married 15, 1924 in Union City, Tenn. to Lyman Worthen. He died in 1946.

Mrs. Worthen was employed for several years at King's Bakery in Mt. Vernon. She is survived by four sons, Lyman (Bud) Worthen of Granite City, Wayne Worthen of St. Germain, Leonard Worthen of Lake of Egypt and Leland Worthen of Fairbanks, Alaska; four daughters, Iola Harrell of Mt.

Vernon, Audrey Chapman of Ozark, Leona Hoffman of Ocala, Fla. and Sally Williams of Lake of Egypt; 27 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Rex Easterly of Murphysboro and Otis Easterly of Gorham; and a sister, Mary Danitz of Murphysboro. JACK M. KELLER Jack M. Keller, 61, of Washington Park, formerly of Sparta, died Friday, July 16, 1976, in the Scott Air Force Base Hospital. Mr. Keller was retired from the U.S.

Navy after serving 20 years. He was member of VFW Post No. 2698 in Sparta. He was born on Nov. 9, 1914, in Benton to Robert and Carrie Miller Keller.

He married Neola Henson in Waterloo an Oct. 11, 1936. He is survived by his wife, Neola; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Hill and Son Funeral Home in Sparta.

Mr. Wiedlocher was the OWner and operator of the Anna Feed and Paper Co. for 48 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna and the Anna Moose Lodge No.

1346. He was born in Springfield on March 16, 1894, to Frank and Amelia Metzger Wiedlocher. He married Evelyn Solomon on April 26, 1916, in Springfield. Survivors include his wife, HARRISON BRANUM Harrison Leroy Branum, 37, of Route 2, Winslow, died Friday, July 16, 1976 from injuries received in a truck accident Friday. Mr.

Branum was a construction truck operator for the Rose Bros. trucking firm in Winslow. He had served four years in the Navy, was a member of the Eagles Lodge and was a member of the Nazarene Church in Johnston City. He was born in Du Quoin on July 18, 1938, to Harrison and Pearl Mae Satterfield Branum. LOVELL EDGAR REES Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today for Lovell Edgar Rees of 401 North Murphysboro. Mr. Rees, 63, died at 12:15 p.m., Friday, July 16, 1976 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at the Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Murphysboro. Mr. Rees March 18, 1913, in Elkville to Edgar G. and Beatrice Crow Rees.

He married the former Ruby M. Kimmel in Perryville, Mo. on July 2, 1939. She survives. He was a conductor on Illinois Central and Gulf Railroad, Centralia District; and a member of the United Transportation Union, division 0565; and of the Jackson County Farm Bureau.

Other survivors are three sons, William K. Rees of Chattanooga, Ronald L. Rees and Lanny P. Rees, both of Murphysboro; and a grandson. A brother and sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the mortuary until time for the service. HENRY FIRZPATRICK Henry Fitzpatrick, 85, of San Diego, formerly of Benton, died Friday, July 16, 1976 in a San Diego hospital. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton. Evelyn; a son, Carl of Anna, a daughter, Mary Jones, of Evansville, 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. One son preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Cobden.

Friends may call at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 4 p.m. today. Recitation of rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. MARK SHIELDS Mark Shields, 81, of Rockwood, died Friday, July 16, 1976, in St.

Ann's Health Care Center in Chester. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Shielde was born in Waterloo on Aug. 5, 1894, to James and Bridget Gannon Shields.

He married Mina Davis in Ava Sept. 10, 1921. She died in 1959. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Raddie.

Survivors include a son, Lester, of Jennings daughters, Lorain Frickleton, of Ridgedale, Florence Lundquist, of Houston, Tex. and Mary Schroeder, of Rockwood; brothers, Matthew, of Ava, a and Vincent, of Murphysboro; sisters, Anastasia Lester and Estella Gale, both of Murphysboro, Agnes Grimonte, of East St. Louis, and Clara Shields of Herrin; 11 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren. One son, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.

Monday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Raddle. Burial will be in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wilson Funeral Home in Ava after 4:30 p.m. today.

Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. NETTIE D. DAWSON St. Louis, formerly of Murday for Nettie D.

Dawson of St. Louis, formerly of Murphysboro. Mrs. Dawson, 79, died at 3 p.m., Friday, July 16, 1976, at St. Louis City Hospital after a long illness.

She was born Oct. 19, 1896, in Harville, Mo. to David and Mary Ann McBride Williams. She married Charles Dawson, who died in 1949. Mrs.

Dawson was a member of the First Christian Church. She is survived by a son, Walter Woodruff of St. Louis; four sisters, Ora Weeks of Lansing, Lottie Tomozak of Grand Rapids, Ada Pearl Lewis of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Violet Kleinfelt of Apollo Beach.

Fla. and two brothers Clifford Williams of Murphysboro and Kenneth Williams of St. Louis. A daughter, two sisters and three brothers preceded her in dean. Services will be at 11 a.m., Monday at the Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel in Murphysboro.

Burial will be in Tower Grove Cemetery in Murphysboro. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the mortuary. Saturday was 81 degrees. The overnight low, between 7 a.m.
