Bachelor Joey Graziadei’s Family Guide: Meet His Parents and Siblings (2024)

Becoming the Bachelor has made Joey Graziadei’s “amazing” family closer than ever — and that was evident when they made an appearance on The Bachelor season 28 finale on Monday, March 25.“They've been so supportive. I'm so lucky to have my family through this,” Joey told Us Weekly exclusively before his January premiere.“I think that one of the most beautiful things about this show is [how] it's brought my family closer together. They just have been in my corner.”Joey made his Bachelor Nation debut during Charity Lawson’s Bachelorette season in 2023 and introduced viewers to his family — including his Uncle Joe — during the hometown dates. Charity ultimately got engaged to Dotun Olubeko, and runner-up Joey went on to be named the next Bachelor. His “amazing” family was rooting him on throughout his journey to find The One.“We've had this ability to connect and talk through everything,” he continued to Us. “I'm so grateful [for] what it's done for my family. It's one of the many blessings that this has brought.”During season 20 of The Bachelorette, Joey revealed that his parents split when he was young after his dad came out as gay. Joey noted that his mom and dad were “amazing coparents” to him and his two sisters, Carly and Eleanor.When opening up to Us about his siblings, Joey revealed that they’ve compared him to Bachelor Nation alum Ben Higgins.“I think they're just nice to me, but I'll take it,” Joey gushed. “I've met Ben. Joey’s dad, Nick, came out as gay when the Bachelor star was in kindergarten. Joey referred to his father as one of his “favorite people in the world” on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast in July 2023.

“I talk to him about everything, so when you explain who he is as a person, it’s part of him and it’s something that needs to be talked about more and not so refrained from,” Joey added of his dad’s journey.

Nick got candid about his decision to come out during an appearance on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast in May 2024.

“I always ask them, there are times I feel so bad, like, ‘Did I mess things up? I feel so bad I put you through that,’” he said. “But honestly, the takeaway that I’ve gotten from them, is my kids are who they are today, not in spite of the position we put them in, but it’s because of that.”

Joey, who noted that his dad’s journey has made him “more of an understanding person,” said he wished his family’s story was more present on The Bachelor.

“I would say that what I think a lot of leads deal with, that is almost kind of a fault at some times, I kind of expected everyone already knew,” Joey said of his family dynamic. “Looking back on it, I do wish it was maybe something that was part of the hometown package that we touched on more because it is something that describes and explains who I am and it’s also a beautiful story I think that shows how loving our family is and how we navigated something like that.”

Joey noted that his dad’s sexuality is something that he will “never hide, never be ashamed of” and wants “the world to know” because it “makes him more of a special person.”

Joey gushed over his mom and her side of the family in a January 2024 Instagram post. “Been a Packers Fan my whole life since my Mom’s side of the family grew up in Green Bay Area 🧀,” he wrote alongside a throwback childhood photo.

Joey previously praised his parents for staying cordial despite their split. “The fact that that didn’t work out doesn’t take away from romance for me,” he said on The Bachelorette.

Nick also had nothing but kind words to say about his ex-wife during the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast in May 2024 while recalling his decision to come out.

“That’s when my ex-wife was diagnosed with MS, so that was a lot too,” Nick said. “So on top of that, making that decision [to come out] and then her getting sick was hard, too, because I’m like, ‘What am I doing here?’ … I love Cathy still to this day but it’s just like that happiness was not going to be there, and it was unfair to [the kids].”

Joey’s older sister, Carly, married Zach Monzo in July 2021 and has been a supportive sibling throughout her brother’s time in the reality TV spotlight.

“My baby brother. Words will truly never be able to express how proud I am of you and the man you have become,” she captioned a January 2024 Instagram post. “Being your big sister is one of my greatest treasures in life. I can’t wait for the world to follow along for the journey of a lifetime.”

Joey’s younger sister, Eleanor, graduated Palm Beach Atlantic University in May 2019, per his Instagram. Not much is known about Joey’s youngest sibling as her social media is set to private.
