So, I have my 4wd 76 Custom-Deluxe that I'm going to try and sell. The only reason I've kept it until now is because it's extremely sentimental, but I have nowhere to store it nor a need for it since I just bought my Durango.

Here's the bad:
-The paint is about 12 years old (burgundy) and has a nice scrape in the back left of the bed from a wall. It could use a new coat or two, but it's not TOO bad.
-(the VERY bad) The transmission went out about a month ago. A rebuilt tranny (4wd) costs about $700+labor.

The good:
-The truck has been upgraded a lot throughout the years.
-It HAS been cared for quite a bit.
-Newer interior including a very comfy bench seat with a folding down center console with wood trim.
-Headliner with 4 speakers and CD player.
-2 large KC lights.
-Brush guard.
-Rubber bed liner.
-White camper shell.
-Larger off-road wheels/tires (needs new tires IMO)
-AT
-Power locks (need a little work)

So basically, you're looking at a truck that could use some tires and a tranny and it'll run for another 10-20 years.

I'd love to see this thing go to a good home. I'll pay for towing anywhere up to 100 miles sicne only Reverse and Neutral work right now. PM me for pics only if you're really interested please. I'll be taking them tomorrow.

I should be able to answer most questions you have.

I'm asking $1k, which I think is fair for all you get. A lot of stuff in the engine is very new and it runs strong. Once that tranny's in there, you can drive it safely, although tires should be put on as soon as possible.

Dave

Oh yeah, I have the title in-hand, so if you want it, I can sell it to you on the spot.

unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait for pics... we're in the middle of moving this week which means although the camera is right in front of me, the cable is somewhere at the new place 76 Chevy Custom-Deluxe - $1000 (4)

Alright, I did some more research on the truck and here it is:

88k miles on it (which IMO is really low)
31" tires (may be snow tires, if not just off-road) on 10" wide rims
running boards
fog lights
KC lights
lighter outlets in the back
a mostly redone black clothe interior
four switches inside (2 for lights, 2 not hooked up to anything)
a White Camper with dome light and tinted glass (2 side windows and rear window)
Front brush guard (large black bumper like on police cars)
Trailer hitch
sliding rear window in the cab
Original Owner

The bad:
Needs a tranny
has a ding in the windshield from a rock (not a spreading crack though)
fog lights and KC lights aren't hooked up all the way to the switches
needs new tires sometime in the near future (not SUPER urgent though)

I think that's it for now. Lemme know any thoughts you have. It really is a badass truck. It's always been a second or third vehicle and whoever buys it will be the second owner. It's only ever been in California (Marin and the South Bay) and Arizona (AZ for 3 years in Prescott, AZ).

I'd really like to sell it before the move so I can have it towed for whoever buys it instead of towed to the new place and then towed again to someone's house.

You got it. We should finish moving friday, so I'll be able to find the connector from camera to PC saturday. I'm going to look for a picture to scan. It may not be the best, but it'll give you a general idea.

I really wish I could. If you wanna swing by sometime to look at it in person, you're more than welcome. Until Saturday though, this is all I've got. Sorry.

This goes for anyone, if you want to come by and see it anytime and are close enough to come by, stop by Avalon Cupertino at Stevens Creek and 280. It's up in the above ground parking. It's gated, but just follow someone in or park in front and walk to the lot through the complex. If you're standing in the main entrance, it's in the gate to the right, along that side of the complex. sh*t, it's big enough you really can't miss it.
